The new light-curing, methacrylate-based resin is indicated for fabrication of high-precision, transparent occlusal splints as well as for bruxism and lower jaw protrusion splints. Thermo-active memory effect ensures perfect material fitting. When cured, the resin is characterised by high flexibility and provides high wearing comfort, reduced susceptibility to breakage and excellent polishing properties. IMPRIMO® LC Splint flex comfort MSI is a light-curing, methacrylate-based resin for the fabrication of hard-elastic splints. The resin is compatible with DLP and MSLA systems and wavelengths ≤ 405 nm. It offers greater flexibility and lower susceptibility to breakage compared to hard materials. Thanks to the unique MSI® technology, the splints have reduced biofilm adhesion. The effect, copied from nature, is based on natural substances that inhibit the spread of bacteria in the long term. Unlike antibiotics, for example, no resistance is formed. The material also has a thermo effect induced by body temperature, ensuring maximum comfort in the mouth.
